                             Notes from the arena champ.

It's so lonely on the top of Mount Olympus!

The view is quite lovely from up here.  I look forward to staying up here until I 
graduate. Unfortunate for those of you with ambition.

                                      SPY REPORT

     Hail and well met warriors of BONSUR!  Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes, 
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari.  Warriors--remember that glory waits always 
around the corner!  Witness how this week SENTINELS went 5-0-1 to move up 4 in the 
rankings.  TOMMY caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he 
skillfully bested PRIDE and was awarded 19 points in recognition.  In one of the 
week's more notable duels, CAROOM put down MIGHTY NED, causing him to lose 12 points 
of recognition in the process.  Although AMANDA made a valiant effort, it did not 
suffice to topple the reign of victorious DEATHSTRIKE.  No confirmation, but my 
sources claim that the top team has gained their position using magical aids.  
Charmed weapons perhaps?   
     But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades 
that is city BONSUR.  My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in BONSUR these 
days is REAVERS.  At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid them.  
Apparently the stalwarts of SENTINELS are catching the bulk of jests down at the 
challenging board for their large share of the avoids.  Mighty fighters cannot but 
expect competition from those below.  MIGHTY NED take warning!  You have more than a 
few enemies in BONSUR.   
     What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his 
foe's mortality?  I must report the passing of CHASE, veteran of many duels.  7-5-0 
final record His was not illustrious--but death plays no favorites.  The warrior's 
path is harsh.  For mediocrity there is but one reward--death.  This past week DYLAN, 
at 6-6-2, departed BONSUR forever.  Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears 
arms.  One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!   
     The girls are as pretty in BONSUR as ever I remembered them....and the fighters 
as ugly!  Don't let your reputation slip!  More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed 
a stout pair of legs must I keep as well!  The endless paths of Alastari await me!  
Till next we meet remember:  a fool flies into a rage quickly and often.  The wise
