                                      SPY REPORT

     Greetings warriors!  It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the 
clash and bustle of the weekly WILLAF games.  Former top team SAXON was unseated this 
week as JLG moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot with a 2-2-1 record for 
the round.  There were bitter words at CADDYSHACK's guildhouse after a 2-3-0 showing 
this week which dropped the stable into 12th.  Dark Arena anyone?  Warriors--remember 
that glory waits always around the corner!  Witness how this week OFF LAND WOMEN went 
2-2-0 to move up 3 in the rankings.  Did only my eyes note the 3-1-0 record which 
TRICKSTERS managed to post this round?  I don't doubt that such a record will draw 
challengers!  LOKI caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he 
skillfully bested WHIRLING STEEL and was awarded 17 points in recognition.  In one of 
the week's more notable duels, LOKI put down WHIRLING STEEL, causing him to lose 13 
points of recognition in the process.  Although JUDGE SMAILS made a valiant effort, 
it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious HOWIE HOWITZER.  No 
confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position using 
magical aids.  Charmed weapons perhaps?   
     Many and various are the arts of battle.  In WILLAF "art" is a word that has 
long since passed from the language!  My inside sources tell me that the team to beat 
in WILLAF these days is JLG.  At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid 
them.  Apparently the stalwarts of TRICKSTERS are catching the bulk of jests down at 
the challenging board for their large share of the avoids.  Loose talk at the arena 
has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after 
MIO MI.  Watch your back!   
     What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his 
foe's mortality?  The warrior's path is harsh.  For mediocrity there is but one 
reward--death.  This past week WISE OLD HERMIT, at 6-5-0, departed WILLAF forever.  
Cruelly, MIDAS TOUCH of SAXON has slain the lesser ranked WISE OLD HERMIT.  Word 
already flies around town that PHILANTROGENTS plans a bloodfeud!  Some say a warrior 
is judged by the way he bears arms.  One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then 
a sword on the belt!   
     The girls are as pretty in WILLAF as ever I remembered them....and the fighters 
as ugly!  Don't let your reputation slip!  More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed 
a stout pair of legs must I keep as well!  The endless paths of Alastari await me!
