                             Notes from the arena champ.

     Eleven! Yup, eleven. All my Duelmaster Titles! Quite a lot, showing that I am 
worthy and many, many are not. Take Sleia; she lost. Of course. Not only did she lose, 
but she is a lost Alderaan. What's with that?  A Double Loser?  

     But no chastisement here. After all, she may have been cute, or nicely endowed, 
or delightful in a rumble. Perhaps I should check that out again, just to be accurate.

                                      SPY REPORT

     Greetings warriors!  It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the 
clash and bustle of the weekly LYRATILAN games.  BYRON caught the eye of many in the 
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested APOLLYON and was awarded 15 points in 
recognition.  In one of the week's more notable duels, BYRON put down APOLLYON, 
causing him to lose 12 points of recognition in the process.  Unwilling to wait upon 
the will of others, Duelmaster SLOTE challenged MOLLY JEFFERSON last week in a match 
to decide the fate of the throne.  Although MOLLY JEFFERSON made a valiant effort, it 
did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious SLOTE.  Informants "close" to the 
city champion have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on beneath his 
armor.  Watch out!   
     But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades 
that is city LYRATILAN.  My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in LYRATILAN 
these days is WORKING GIRLS.  At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid 
them.  If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any 
of WINDS OF WAR last week.  Busy avoiding WORKING GIRLS?  Mighty fighters cannot but 
expect competition from those below.  BOOMING BARITONE take warning!  You have more 
than a few enemies in LYRATILAN.  At the gambling halls I have started to bet money 
on PAMELA.  She has got the courage it takes.  Witness hers challenge this turn 
against JAZZ!  Do not the gods reward courage?  PAMELA it was that claimed victory in 
the bout, while also rising 17 points in recognition.   
     Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser?   Warriors, may this counselor stand 
ready at your right hand forever!  Look no more for KRAKEN in the arena or on the 
streets of LYRATILAN.  His fate was sealed in the Dark Arena.  Inevitable for one at 
13-17-0.  This week marked the last days of STALIN who at 4-7-1 was dispatched to the 
Dark Arena by the command of DARK FORCES' demanding management.  Some say a warrior 
is judged by the way he bears arms.  One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then 
a sword on the belt!   
     The girls are as pretty in LYRATILAN as ever I remembered them....and the 
fighters as ugly!  Don't let your reputation slip!  Ahh, but I can hear the spires of 
a far off city calling to me.  I must away!  Till we meet again, remember:  a turtle 
walks slow, hides head in a shell, and harms no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.--
