                             Notes from the arena champ.

Greetings, Iaye!  This week, Tender Fury took the vacated throne from the absentee 
Duelmaster, Prospector Willie. To me this does not feel as honorable as defeating the 
Duelmaster in combat. Just the same, I will honor the title and defend it as I may.

For this fight, I coached Tender Fury to use a previously untested strategy against 
our top Striker, Baz. And while it was victorious, I had hoped for a first round win 
by way of damage delat by our top Total Parry. That would have been a glorious thing!

It seems that Baz will again receive Tender Fury's challenge as he is the top non-
teammate contender. May the better gladiator prevail.

                                      SPY REPORT

     Much has changed in IAYE since last I was here.  Never fear, Olaf Modeen adapts 
to many situations, as do all successful fighters.  Up 'n down.  Up 'n down.  
Rankings always change.  Up 'n down.  I think I'm gonna be...  Well, BOOT HILL's 3rd 
moved them up to 2-2-0 place.  Some people say I ramble too much, I don't say 
anything relevant.  I repeat myself.  I ramble.  Well THE YOUNG ONES moved up 0, to 
2nd.  What's with TET OFFENSIVE?  He actually beat CLOWDER W/ CLAWS' BACKSTABBATH, 
and walked away with 22 more points from the fight.  Major screwup at NEON KNIGHTS 
30.  MYSTIC DREAM lost 10 points to ANNIE OAKLEY.  Some new strategies, perhaps?  
Maybe MYSTIC DREAM will provide more easy wins...  Try as he might, BAZ wasn't good 
enough at persuading TENDER FURY to step down from the Duelmaster's throne...  I 
suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters?  
Tough!   
     If at first you don't succeed, avoid.  That'll get you in the Spyreports.  The 
most avoided team was THE YOUNG ONES.  The bums at HARD KNOCKS couldn't face the 
challenges from THE YOUNG ONES!  No excuse for that!  What do people see in NEAL?  
His 18-21-0?  THE YOUNG ONES ain't talkin', but he's got 109 points.  SNUFFY of 
LENPROS knows how to pick 'em.  He challenged TRY ME of CLOWDER W/ CLAWS who is up by 
19.  Now was this a wise move?  SNUFFY perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he 
bested TRY ME and ended up with 66 recognition points.   
     A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing.  Some fighters 
don't accept this.  The best do.  Is it my imagination, or are fighters getting 
younger every day?  To die so young, so gloriously!   
     Who knows what the future holds for a warrior.  More fights, there's no doubt.  
Are you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it?  Actually, I guess I'm 
writing it before you read it.  Oh, well.  I don't want to overstay my welcome...--
