Notes from the arena champ.

Ritual sacrifice, curses, dolls, and black magic all likely come to mind when you
think of Voodoo, but the vastly misunderstood religion has become more like a scary
story to outsiders. The real Voodoo origins reveal a different dark side, one where
sensationalized racism and propaganda run rampant.

Voodoo was born out of the horrific effects of the slave trade. Today, it attracts
tourists fascinated with the unfamiliar and bizarre who are ultimately met with an
entirely different reality of the small religion.

Voodoo origins: The history of Voodoo (or Voudou) has nothing to do with witchcraft or
demonic worship as it's often misrepresented in the media. It is actually a folk
religion born out of survival. Originating in Haiti, Voodoo was created by enslaved
people who were forced to assimilate into a new world with entirely new beliefs. The
religion combines traditions from western and central Africa with the new world's
Roman Catholic ideology.

I might tell you more later, especially. the dastardly stuff, but meanwhile... "I got
your back!". Bwahahahaha.

If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
KATI-TEI brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Later days, PHILANTHROPISTS, since
NAWLINS RU2 took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. Of course,
we're all terribly impressed to see TROLLEY win a fight and gain 12 points, terribly.
Going for broke or broken, our Duelmaster DUSTMITE challenged this turn. And if
variety is the spice of life, KATI-TEI may be getting bland, as VOODOO stays top dog
in the city. The Warty Toad, humph! I've tasted better ale at mortuaries. Where do
they get this stuff? From KATI-TEI's trash dumps?
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
PHILANTHROPISTS, I suppose you'll be glad to know you were this turn's most avoided
team. Care to know who is the most afraid of you? And who led the way in this mass
act of cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was NAWLINS RU2. Ha ha ha ha!

Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Whoa! I'll even buy OGLCU a drink
tonight! Anyone who can come back from the Dark Arena, I want to be on his good
side! It's about time MEOWS A LOT got beat for picking on warriors like SAINTS.
