A perspective on the names of the five Fandil warriors:

     Bernice -- A good lookin' Aunt.
     Penny -- One of the youngest cousins.
     Studebaker -- For many years the family car was a Studebaker. Dad's extras were, 
          at times, a pickup truck, a tracked bulldozer, a ton truck, and a jeep.
     54 Ford -- The clunker I was given to get around in college in 1963+. (The first 
          car I personally owned was a new 1969 Dodge Charger.
     Turialba -- A visited city in Costa Rica where all baseballs for the MLB are made 
          (under Rawlings) when I was operational V.P.

     Good day, in ARDIVENT a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets poor.  
So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news.  The PUPPY SQUAD guild has had a 
3-0-0 turn and deserves to be watched in the future.  You never know where this kind 
of thing can lead.  And let's see, CAPTAIN PUPPY fought HAYSTACK and gained 14 points 
and contributed to PUPPY SQUAD's 3-0-0.  TIMOTHY has lost to HAPPY PEASANT, falling 
12 points, while helping make GENERATION D a 1-3-0 turn.  We should ask PENNY about 
the thrill of victory, and what being the new Duelmaster does for a warrior, she's 
now the one to ask.  Tell me, is nothing sacred?  I have heard from unimpeachable 
sources that The Seaside Manor uses trolls in their stew.  Talk about gristle!   
     I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling.  A basher 
friend of mine assures me this is true.  FANDILS has cause to stand tall, as they 
were ARDIVENT's most avoided team.  A smart manager knows this is a team to beat.  
And avoiding FANDILS more than any other team we find PUPPY SQUAD.  ARDIVENT, are we 
going to accept, or respect this sort of thing?  Well, sports fans, take notice that 
HAYSTACK from BLUVALLEY WARRIORS was ARDIVENT's most challenged warrior this turn.   
     A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once.  Wise men know this to 
be true.  A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover or 
hide when the fight is over.  Consider well.   
     Thought for the day, a new sword shines bright, but the notched sword sings the
