                             Notes from the arena champ.

Well, Juniper gave it another shot, with the same lack of success. Seems like Marlboro 
Man is set to be the next up. I don't like the style matchup, I'll tell you that much. 
Let's see how it goes.

Someone is trying to get some tourney guys. DA numbers 8 thru 12? That's a lot of 
recruiting to be done. Same manager going for DA 5, 6 7 as well? Here's hoping he 
struck out.  :-)

Kind of a turn for losers. Only six "normal" fights, to go with nine Dark Arena 
fights. It's a sad state of affairs when the fans here in Rocanis only have night 
fights to look forward to. Can't we do better for them? But, on the winner's side of 
the coin, my teammates and I managed to fight well enough for the Commission to 
sponsor us in full for the next turn. It's nice to be able to use that coinage on 
better things than entry fees. Wine, women, and song! Huzzah!

                                      SPY REPORT

     Busy, busy, busy, lots of things happening in ROCANIS this turn, and let's start 
with a look at some of the teams.  Now keep the taverns open late tonight, for there 
are sorrows to drown for MEN OF STEEL, whose 0-0-0 this turn dropped them by 5 into 
9th.  And let's see, LUMP O COAL fought JUNIPER and gained 21 points and contributed 
to CHRISTMAS CURSES' 2-0-2.  FLAP-DRAGON has lost to RIRORNI ASSASSIN, falling 14 
points, while helping make BARDIC FLAPPERY a 1-3-0 turn.  And all eyes were on 
MARLBORO MAN this turn as he ascended to the throne of Duelmaster.  ROCANIS has a new 
victor!  Can someone confirm a rumor for me?  I hear the top team makes their losing 
fighters do dishes at The Grub & Rub Bar and Bistro until they win.  Maybe?   
     Oriental wise man once say, 'Hiding behind shields prevents proper sun tanning.' 
Inscrutable, but true.  I also notice that the ALLIANCE stable was the most avoided 
team this turn.  Come on ROCANIS, what are you afraid of?  And avoiding ALLIANCE more 
than any other team we find BARDIC FLAPPERY.  ROCANIS, are we going to accept, or 
respect this sort of thing?   
     A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once.  Wise men know this to 
be true.  JUNIPER has departed ROCANIS, leaving ALLIANCE without their 12-10-2 
warrior.  Question, just what was hers team doing at the taverns last night?  
Whatever bright future ROVA may have had, it's all history now.  The manager of WOLF 
& VALKYRIE has lost a promising 3-1-0 warrior.  A brave warrior does not carry a red 
shield, he has nothing to cover or hide when the fight is over.  Consider well.   
     Thought for the day, a new sword shines bright, but the notched sword sings the 
sweetest.  Always good to rest in ROCANIS, but never good to wear out my welcome.
