now a firm grasp on a 148th place ranking.  I have begun to suspect trickery on the 
part of HIGHGARDEN III.  How else weeks like this one's 0-1-0?  How else the sudden 
move to 149th team?  The proverbial rising comet can only hope to compare with 
COLISEUM III's team record!  A 0-1-0 week and now a firm grasp on a 150th place 
ranking.  A new guild, OH MERCY, entered STORM POINT with a clash this turn, showing 
off a 3-1-1 record.  Indeed, a worthy addition to the city guilds.  WAR DADDY caught 
the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested ICE DAGGER and 
was awarded 41 points in recognition.  In one of the week's more notable duels, 
STENCH RIPPER put down SKIN & BONES, causing him to lose 13 points of recognition in 
the process.  Most watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was on DARK 
CHAMPION as he bore arms against the Dark Arena Challenge of reigning Duelmaster 
INERT.  Although DARK CHAMPION made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple 
the reign of victorious INERT.  Would you believe that over half of the old women in 
STORM POINT seem to feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?   
     Many and various are the arts of battle.  In STORM POINT "art" is a word that 
has long since passed from the language!  STORM POINT, city of gladiators!  Mighty 
among the names of thy guilds is LIZARD ARMY 16, a guild shunned and avoided by many 
in the weekly duels.  Apparently the stalwarts of H-ISH are catching the bulk of 
jests down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids.   
     What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his 
foe's mortality?  Strange what qualities come forth in the face of certain doom.  
INERT has the town astir with the news of his Dark Arena victory!  Some say a warrior 
is judged by the way he bears arms.  One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then 
a sword on the belt!   
     If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times 
already in STORM POINT.  Nice atmosphere you have here!  More than a sharp eye must I 
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well!  The endless paths of Alastari

We hope you will join us at our winter FTF in Tempe, AZ, January 16-18, 2026! It will 
be held at our usual Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-897-7444).  Room 
rates are $214.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which includes full cooked breakfast, 
complimentary manager's reception, free parking and free high speed internet.  There's
